Cameron Clokie’s Dream to Make an Impact on Bone Regeneration

Dr. Clokie is a teacher, scientist, entrepreneur and a surgeon. He is the CEO of Induce Biologics Inc which is a company that’s known to prioritize on innovative solutions on musculoskeletal reconstruction. His career began in 1985, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery and thereafter, he trained and specialized on the same.

He got his doctorate from McGill University in 1992 on interface development of dental implants on bone regeneration. He is a successful entrepreneur and a scientist who has served in several scientific boards as a consultant for many industrial partners and companies.

He became a maxillofacial and oral surgeon in 1998 then he was appointed as the head in maxillofacial surgery, he worked as Professor at University of Toronto on Maxillofacial and oral surgery.

In 1990 he tested BMP which is a tool that’s used in jaw surgery hence making a discovery of how one needs a lot of bones to regenerate it.

He stands out from other doctors because of his ability to use innovative approaches on jaws when it comes to surgical management. His technique involves resetting jaw’s skeletal clock making them develop as that of a baby.

He has published several papers both nationally and internationally and lectures internationally on regenerative medicine, future of Dentistry, oral health care and bone reconstruction and also on university-related technology transfer.

Cameron Clokie has successfully developed collaborators network that’s international that deals with trying to have knowledge on effects on bone regeneration by use of growth factor technologies.

Cameron Clokie is currently working as Head of Graduate Program in facial reconstruction at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery which is located in Ontario and Toronto.

His main goal is to create a replacement on the need for autogenous bone grafts with bio implants which if it turns out to be successful it will help all patients that need bones surgical augmentation.
