Dr. Avi Weisfogel is a dentist that has discovered a number of innovative ways to treat sleep apnea using dental techniques and technologies. This has improved the quality of life for countless people with sleep disorders. Many people walk around with tired, puffy, blood-shot eyes, wrinkled faces and develop a host of health problems due to lack of sleep. Due to the innovative work of Dr. Weisfogel, many of them have been able to find relief.
A graduate of the NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Avi Weisfogel began doing research when he opened his dental practice Old Bridge Dental Care. While he was earning awards and accolades for the quality dental services he provided, he was also experimenting with ways to help people with sleep disorders. Once he realized that many of the sleep issues are caused by obstructed breathing, Dr. Weisfogel began trying to find ways to help keep the airway clear while his patients were asleep. He has had a great deal of success and has traveled nationwide and around the world teaching other dentists what he has learned.
Dr. Weisfogel has taught a growing network of dentists to set up sleep labs to help diagnose sleep problems. He also teaches them how to use their training in dentistry to design and create dental appliances to help patients with sleep apnea and other breathing related sleep disorders. Dr. Weisfogel has also worked with other healthcare professionals to share what he has learned. To facilitate his international lecturing and teaching efforts, he founded Owner Operated Sleep Patients in 2012. He has also created the Dental Sleep Masters program.
Drawing on the lessons he learned while earning his B.S. in psychology and biology from Rutgers University and his natural talent for marketing, Dr. Weisfogel has been showing dentists worldwide how working with sleep patients can help to expand their dental practices and make them more lucrative. As a result, a growing number of dentists are now trained by Dr. Weisfogel and can now help patients with sleep disorders. Dr. Avi Weisfogel is playing an important role in helping sleep patients
